Final Essay
Gunshots is what most people from wealth areas might think is the basic life in South Central Los Angeles.In Technostudies we learned the history of South Central LA. But there are three major events that contribute the most to what SC LA is today.The three major events are the impact of the crack epidemic,the early history of Watts, and of course Immigration.
The first event that we studied is the impact of the Crack Epidemic . Crack is a form of drug cocaine.Is very addictive and destructive. During the early 1980s, the drug first came into SC LA. In 1981 , the CIA helped ship Cocaine from El Salvador to Texas and Arkansas, then to LA.This event contribute to what SC LA is today because most of the homeless persons that we see in the streets were or are still addicted to the substance. So this event can be the reason why many families were destroyed and the cause why many kids grew up with out a parent figure. That’s why they turn into drugs and delinquency.
The second important event that contributes to what SC LA is today is the early history of Watts. During and before WW2, Watts had a huge population. Blacks came from the south looking for jobs and a better life. But instead they found unemployment and despair. This event contributes to what SC LA is today because ti explains why people came here.
The third important event is Immigration. The United States of America is a country where people from all over the world use as a home. People from all over the world come here to found new job opportunities. They want to start e new life with a better future. Or they are probably escaping a civil war. SC LA has a population that includes Blacks and Latinos, or etc. This event contributes to what SC LA is today because it explains who lives in SC LA.
Growing up in SC LA is unique because you learn how to survive in the streets. This year course at Technostudies we learn the basic story of SC LA. But the events that contribute the most to what SC LA is today are the Crack Epidemic, The early history of Watts, and Immigration. In the future I think South Central will change and improve in many ways such as Education, Employments,or who Knows. It can probably get worsts.
“Good Websites”
The things that make a good website are many. The first thing a good website needs to have is a logo that represents it. The second thing is probably a good menu set up. The third is definetly pictures and videos. One thing that makes a bad website is that it has a bad menu set up and that is has no pictures or videos. When I create my own website It will have a good menu set up, good pictures/videos, and an alsome logo.
“Quarter Reflection”
This Quarter I think I did alright. In some cases I missed some assignments do to special cases. I think I could have done better. I am doing well in every class.To keep doing well I am going to keep on reading the bible because you learn new things about life.
